Hi Tomaž,
I have subscribed to your presentation “SQL Server 2016 and Microsoft R Server” that you will give in Belgium in March.
I have +10 years of experience with databases and SQL, and currently no knowledge of R, thought it seems like a nice thing to have in my skill tool belt. Both for use in Power BI and SQL Server.
Can you point me to a good book/website/.. to get me started?
Maybe that way I will be better equipped to follow your presentation 😉
With Kind regards,
Wim

Hi Wim,
Thank you for your email. Presentation will be on integration, R language and how to deal with T-SQL and R code on some practical examples.
For the presentation you need good will and questions. And if you like coffee, that too 😉
to get you started, I would suggest a revolution blog: http://blog.revolutionanalytics.com/
in addition here is a list of R articles I have published on SQL Server central:

or my blog.
Great book is available on Microsoft Virtual academy: https://mva.microsoft.com/ebooks titled: Data Science with Microsoft SQL Server 2016. This should get you started.
And you can always ask a question here! 🙂
Best, Tomaž

Tom. Great blog. Keep up the good work. Are you available to help me as a consultant on a small R classification project?
